• 16personalities: A personality assessment to help you learn more about yourself. This tool will also provide you with careers that match your personality type

• Career Exploration Guidebook: Use this short guide to keep track of your career journey.
• Attend a Job Club: Workforce Solutions Golden Crescent and Victoria College partner to host a collaborative Job Club on the first Wednesday of every month from 2-4p.m. (120 S. Main Ste. 110, Victoria, Texas 77901)

• Download the CareerInfo App: This app makes all of the information found in the Occupational Outlook Handbook easily accessible from your smart phone. 
• O*NET Online and the Occupational Outlook Handbook provide information about employment outlook, average wages, and education needed for various careers.
• On Campus Informational Sessions & Workshops: Check the Victoria College Event’s Calendar to learn more about events on campus.
• Talk to People in the Field: Find people in the field you are interested in and ask them if they will meet with you to discuss their experiences. Informational interviewing can be a great way to network and learn more about the career options available. 
• Volunteer: Volunteering is a great resume builder and can expose you to various occupational settings.
• Job Shadowing: Check with local businesses or your VC’s Career Services Coordinator to find shadowing opportunities.
• Check out BestColleges or University HQ: These websites provide information and articles related to career options.

WorkInTexas (WIT): In addition, we recommend WIT as a great starting place for job searching. This virtual job platform, provided by the Texas Workforce Commission, offers an abundance of opportunities throughout the state of Texas. Resources within WIT include a Resume Building Assistant and local job opportunities monitored by Workforce Solutions Golden Crescent.
