Graduation

 To be eligible for graduation with your associate degree or certificate, you must:

• Fulfill all degree coursework and credit requirements as outlined in your catalog
• If applicable, all course substitutions must be approved and on file
• Earn a grade point average of at least a 2.0
• Complete at least 25 percent of the required credit at Victoria College
• Resolve all holds  

Students must complete and submit the Graduation Application Form to the Admissions and Records Office.  

You will receive an email within one week about your graduation application status.  Students who complete the application for graduation will also be emailed detailed information regarding rehearsal and program times closer to the date of commencement.

Students who graduate in August or December have the opportunity to walk in the May graduation ceremony, as there is only one ceremony per year.

Spring 2020 graduates - Once Victoria College is able to resume commencement ceremonies, we will extend an invitation for you to officially walk the stage. More details will be provided at a later date.

**Important: You will be required to apply/reapply for the next graduation if you do not meet the graduation requirements during the graduation term indicated on the graduation application. 

Due to the spread of COVID-19 in our region, Victoria College has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Graduation Ceremonies that were tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, Aug. 15.

Once Victoria College is able to resume commencement ceremonies, we will extend an invitation for you to officially walk the stage. More details will be provided at a later date.

 

Due to the spread of COVID-19 in our region, Victoria College has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Graduation Ceremonies that were tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, Aug. 15.

However, we still want to celebrate your achievement. We would like to place a custom yard sign honoring you and our other graduates on Victoria College's Main Campus the week of Aug. 17-21.  Please check your email for communication regarding this information.

Graduates will receive a specific number of tickets for their guests.  The number of tickets per graduate has not been determined yet.  Once the number has been determined, graduates will receive an email with the information.  

 

The graduate luncheon for spring 2020 has been canceled.

To participate in commencement, you must be dressed in the appropriate cap and gown.  You can purchase caps, tassels, gowns and invitations from the Victoria College Bookstore.  The graduation materials will be available for purchase in store and on line from the Bookstore beginning the week after Spring Break. 

Students who graduate with a GPA of a 3.5 or above will be given honors cords on the day of graduation.

Students who are veterans will need to speak with the Veterans Academic Advisor about receiving the military cords.

PTK students who wish to wear the PTK regalia will need to order their items from the PTK website.

 A professional photographer will take photographs as graduates walk across the stage to receive their diploma.Graduates will want to contact the photographer to purchase the photos.
