For as long as he can remember, music has been part of Isaac De Los Santos’ life. Growing up in a musical family, it was second nature for him to pick up an instrument and develop a love for performing.

De Los Santos honed his skills as a student at Victoria ISD, playing with trios and mariachis throughout the community. After graduating high school, he served in the US Marine Corps before returning home to attend Victoria College in 2002, where he thrived in fine arts classes.

“I got to learn from some great instructors, and it definitely prepared me to go on to Del Mar College and continue my education,” said De Los Santos. “I had a lot of fun and even helped start a couple of ensembles with Jona Anderson while studying there. When I signed my first contract, I came back to give a master class and perform.”

After studying music theory and composition, De Los Santos reignited his music career, performing as a bajo sexto guitar player for several groups. In 2001, he signed with Discos MM as a member of Los Tremendos V — a band that went on to win numerous awards. De Los Santos quickly stood out as both a talented vocalist and instrumentalist.

In 2023, he was inducted into the Tejano Roots Hall of Fame — a testament to a music career that has influenced the Tejano industry for nearly 40 years.
