Victoria College, The Green Cow Creamery announce name of 100th anniversary ice cream

Victoria College and The Green Cow Creamery have announced the winning name in their ice cream naming contest celebrating the college’s 100th anniversary.

Captain Vic’s Centennial Crunch was selected by VC’s 100th Anniversary Committee as the winning entry. Rachel Nessel, who submitted the name, won free ice cream for a year from The Green Cow Creamery.

Cameryn Amejorado and Madison Nieto submitted identical entries. Each received a gift card to The Green Cow Creamery.

Captain Vic’s Centennial Crunch is a salted caramel ice cream with pecans, pralines and a hint of sea salt. More than 400 entries were submitted by students, employees, alumni and community members.

The Green Cow Creamery will donate $1 to Victoria College for every cup of commemorative ice cream sold. All proceeds will go directly to supporting VC students.
