VC recognized with 2025 Exemplar Recognition of Scaling Excellence (ROSE) award

Victoria College has been recognized for its commitment to student success with the prestigious 2025 Exemplar Recognition of Scaling Excellence (ROSE) award at the Texas Pathways Institute in Houston.

The Texas Success Center (TSC) selected VC for this honor in recognition of the college’s successful scaling of essential practices across all four foundational pillars of the Talent Strong Texas Pathways strategy. The pillars focus on clarifying paths to student end goals, helping them choose and enter a pathway, providing support to stay on track, and ensuring they are successful.

“To be named as an exemplar institution is an honor and truly speaks to our college-wide commitment to helping our students successfully complete pathways leading to upward economic mobility,” said Dr. Jennifer Kent, VC President. “Our caring campus culture is an integral part of the framework of VC. This award is a direct reflection of the hard work and dedication of the entire VC family.”

As one of only two institutions in the state to receive the 2025 ROSE award (along with San Jacinto College), VC is considered an exemplar for other colleges in Texas working to implement and scale guided pathways.
