Artist Imran Nuri concludes VC’s 2024-2025 Lyceum Series

Imran Nuri, a talented photographer, writer and artist, will be the final speaker in Victoria College’s 2024-2025 Lyceum Series on Thursday, April 10, at 6 p.m. at VC’s Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts.

Nuri’s project was born from a deeply personal question: “If I knew I had one year left to live, what would I do?” His answer was to embark on a cross-country journey, living in his car and interviewing 1,000 strangers across the lower 48 states.

This unique and inspiring journey culminated in a 672-page, seven-pound hardcover coffee table photobook featuring 1,000 photos of the strangers he met, along with their reflections and advice about making the most of life.

Nuri will share his experience during the lecture and will explore his conclusion that, despite our differences, we have much more in common with one another than the things that divide us.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
