The 2025 Victoria Empty Bowls event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9, at Victoria College’s Emerging Technology Complex.
Empty Bowls is a grassroots movement that gives communities worldwide an opportunity to support food-related charitable organizations.
Handmade ceramic bowls will cost $20 each and include soup, bread and a drink donated by area restaurants and caterers. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, Christ’s Kitchen, Victoria Christian Assistance Ministry, Meals on Wheels South Texas and JP’s Market at Victoria College.
“With the community’s support, Victoria Empty Bowls has raised more than a quarter-million dollars for local nonprofits since it began in 2004,” said Empty Bowls Team Lead Angela Weaver. “As construction is still underway on VC’s new Student Success Center, we look forward to welcoming attendees back to the Emerging Technology Complex while providing an opportunity to support the same great cause.”
Victoria College’s Emerging Technology Complex is located at 7403 Lone Tree Road. For more information, call (361) 573-3291.
