Victoria College is inviting the community to join in the holiday cheer with a series of festive concerts spanning the first two weeks of the month of December.
The Crossroads Community Band will perform a holiday concert on Tuesday, Dec. 3, starting at 7 p.m. at Victoria West High School, located at 307 W. Tropical Drive. The concert will feature a mix of classic and contemporary holiday tunes, including music from “The Grinch” and a narrated performance of “A Christmas Carol” set to music. The band is comprised of VC students as well as musicians from within the community.
Following the Crossroads Community Band’s performance, the Victoria College Choir and Civic Chorus will present “‘Twas the Night” on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. at Victoria College’s Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts, located at 214 N. Main Street in downtown Victoria. This heartwarming performance will feature beloved holiday carols and other seasonal favorites, perfect for getting into the holiday spirit.
During the second week of December, Crossroads Strings will perform a concert of tangos, waltzes, and Christmas favorites on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. at the Victoria East High School Auditorium, located at 4103 E. Mockingbird Lane. The concert will offer a blend of classical and contemporary music, perfect for a festive evening out. Crossroads Strings is comprised of VC students as well as musicians from within the community.
