Museum of the Coastal Bend invites community to connect with nature

Victoria College’s Museum of the Coastal Bend will host a Hands-on History: Connect with Nature event on Saturday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to create various crafts using natural resources found throughout the Texas landscape. Using the natural materials they collect, participants will be able to craft unique sun prints and nature rubbings. At 11 a.m., Museum Education Coordinator Claudia Moseley will lead participants in creating a take-home beehive hotel.

While the come-and-go event is free and open to the public, supplies are limited and will be utilized for attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Museum of the Coastal Bend is located on VC’s Main Campus at 2200 E. Red River St.
