VC Respiratory Care Program students participate in collaborative skills at the Allied Health Building.
Victoria College’s Respiratory Care Program received a $10,000 grant from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) to award student scholarships.
VC is among more than 450 institutions nationwide to receive a total of $4 million in scholarship funding from the NBRC to support respiratory therapist education and address the current workforce shortage.
“We are profoundly grateful for the NBRC’s generous support,” said JJ Valdez, Clinical Coordinator of Respiratory Care at Victoria College. “This scholarship funding will empower our students to pursue careers in this critical field and contribute to a brighter future in healthcare.”
VC’s Respiratory Care Program is a two-year associate degree program that prepares graduates for successful careers as registered respiratory therapists. The NBRC scholarship funds can be used for a variety of purposes, including purchasing practice exams, supporting student recruitment activities, and acquiring classroom equipment.
