Financial Literacy

Welcome to 2023-2024! We’re excited to provide Financial Literacy 101 as our Financial Literacy program!

With Financial Literacy 101, you will create a budget, track your spending habits, get personalized feedback on your financial knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors, set your financial goals, plus much more.

To participate in the program (face-to-face or online), you will need a computer with Internet access and audio capabilities.

 To complete your annual requirement, you can now:

• Come in person during one of our “What’s in Your Wallet” Wednesday courses

How to register for Financial Literacy 101:

KEY Center staff is available for guidance in the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and of scholarship applications, including the VC Financial Aid scholarship application. All KEY Center members are required to apply for financial aid each academic year they are active in the program. As additional scholarship opportunities become available, KEY Center staff will provide information and resources to members. Students are also encouraged to work with the VC Financial Aid Office to maintain their availability for other opportunities.  

KEY Center members are required to complete an annual one-on-one meeting in-person, over the phone, or through WebEx with a Financial Aid Counselor to discuss the student's aid. Members must inform the Financial Aid Counselor that they are a KEY Center member and have the Counselor email the KEY Center as proof that the meeting was conducted.
