Parking Tickets

Ticket fees range from $5 to $25. Multiple tickets increase the fine amount and this is cumulative (Fall through Summer II sessions). **After a third ticket, the privilege of parking on campus property may be revoked and the student may face dismissal from the College.**

Fines are considered an administrative penalty with all collected monies being the property of the college. Fines must be paid through the Payment Office, which is located in the Student Services Building.

Credit card payments are accepted via phone (361) 485-6840. Students can also pay online through the Pirate Portal, using the drop boxes, or by mailing the payment with a copy of the ticket to:

Additionally, fines can be paid by phone using a debit card. The phone number for the Payments Office is (361) 485-6840.

**Failure to pay a ticket(s) will result in a hold being placed on all records belonging to the student, including grades and transcripts, until such time as the ticket(s) has been paid. Also future registration and transcript requests will be denied until the violation(s) is paid.**

Tickets may be appealed. However all tickets must be paid before the appeals process can be initiated. Appeals forms are available in Payment Office in the Student Services Building and the Student Activities Office in the Student Center. A special Vehicle Violations Appeals Committee will review the appeal once it is filed and will determine whether the fine should be upheld. If a finding is in the student’s favor his/her money is refunded.

Students are notified in writing at the time of registration of all vehicle, driving and parking regulations. Failure to have knowledge of the regulations is not grounds for appeal and will not be considered.

Excessive vehicle violations, regardless of paid status, will result in disciplinary action.
