Hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities are regularly seeking qualified registered nurses.

• Study of the concepts and principles necessary to perform basic nursing skills for individualized care of patients across the lifespan
• Introduction to the roles of the professional nurse as a member of the profession, a provider of patient-centered care, a patient safety advocate, and a member of the healthcare team
• Application of a systematic problem-solving process, critical thinking skills, and concepts to provide nursing care to diverse patients and families
• Hands-on clinical practice

The following requirements must be met prior to the application deadline for admission to the Associate Degree Nursing Program.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Completion of VC’s admissions requirements 
• An appointment with VC’s Health Careers Advisor
• Criminal background check
• Successful completion of the TSI Assessment and the ATI TEAS Exam
• Submission of official transcripts for high school and previous college coursework
• An overall GPA of 2.0 or higher
• A grade of C or better in BIOL 2401, BIOL 2420, PSYC 2301, and HPRS 2300
• Submission of the  ADN Generic Program Application or  LVN-ADN Transition Program Application and Licensure Eligibility Questionnaire
• Completion of program-required immunizations
• A Viewpoint account to upload required documentation (Beginning Fall 2025).

Prior to enrollment, qualified applicants who are accepted in the ADN Program will also be required to submit a:

• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Healthcare Provider CPR card
• Physical examination by a healthcare provider
• TB screening test
• 10-panel drug screen test
• Influenza vaccination record for the current season

1. Submit your ApplyTexas.org application for admission to Victoria College. 
   You will receive communication regarding your next steps within 24-48 hours of submitting your application. For more info, see VC’s admissions steps.
2. Submit the application packet and required documentation by the application deadline:

• ADN Generic Program (available Dec. 1) 
  Deadline: June 1 for fall admission and Sept. 1 for spring admission
• LVN-ADN Transition Program (available Dec. 1) 
  Deadline: March 1 for summer admission
