Making informed decisions about managing money and paying for college is becoming increasingly important for students. Financial Literacy will empower KEY Center members with information to make decisions that impact their futures. When students manage their money, they are prepared to successfully meet their goals and have the finances available to make them a reality.
KEY Center members are to complete one Financial Literacy Module per year. Students are able to cover a range of financial topics, including the ones listed below.

KEY Center Scholarships
Based on available funding, the KEY Center has access to designated scholarships for our members. Students are required to complete an application and submit it by the posted deadlines.Qualifications vary but can include PELL eligibility, GPA requirements, active participation in KEY Center opportunities, enrollment status, and an extra component. KEY Center Financial Assistance opportunities will be posted on Facebook and emailed to all members.

Financial Aid Assistance
KEY Center staff is available for guidance in the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and of scholarship applications, including the VC Financial Aid scholarship application. All KEY Center members are required to apply for financial aid each academic year they are active in the program. As additional scholarship opportunities become available, KEY Center staff will provide information and resources to members. Students are also encouraged to work with the VC Financial Aid Office to maintain their availability for other opportunities.
As a service for KEY Center members only, Financial Aid Mondays are offered throughout the academic year. Employees from the Financial Aid office visit the KEY Center once a month to personally assist KEY Center members with any type of financial aid questions.
