The mission of the Total Learning Center is to provide resources and ensure equality for all students to achieve their goals and fulfill their potential. Our vision is that the TLC is a place where students come first. Our resources include:
Tutoring Center: Free tutoring services are offered to students who need academic assistance as well as individuals preparing for entrance exams before enrolling at Victoria College.
Academic Coaching: Academic coaching is available to students who would like strategic assistance with goal setting, time management, study strategies, and other academic concerns.
Learning Frameworks (EDUC 1300/SDEV 0301): Students in this course learn how humans learn (learning theories) and the strategies they can utilize to learn more effectively. This course provides the theoretical foundation, or framework, of learning to enable students to transfer this knowledge to future classes and the careers. We also examine common issues students have upon transitioning to college from high school, home, or the workplace.
Disclosure Waiver: VC faculty, staff and employees are concerned about the safety and well-being of our students. If, during a conversation with a VC faculty member, staff member, or student assistant, you share information that leads us to be concerned about your safety, the safety of others, or your well-being, we may need to seek the help of the VC Care team and/or other appropriate entities.
Physical Location: To find out more about these resources, visit the Total Learning Center in Johnson Hall suite 100 or send us an email.
