The Victoria College Foundation surpassed its previous Giving Tuesday fundraising efforts, raising more than $5,750 in support of JP’s Market during this year’s one-day giving campaign.

The funds raised, including a $5,000 donation from the TDECU Cares Foundation, will directly benefit the food pantry and clothing closet located in the Student Services Building on VC’s Main Campus. JP’s Market provides nonperishable food items, toiletries, and hygiene items to any VC student experiencing food insecurity.

“We are grateful for the generous support of the TDECU Cares Foundation and our community during this year’s Giving Tuesday campaign,” said Chelsee Frank, VC’s Advancement Services Coordinator. “The donations we received will impact student success and wellbeing by ensuring access to basic necessities.”

Part of the funds were raised at a Giving Tuesday event at Texas Roadhouse, where diners were able to donate 20 percent of their bill to support JP’s Market.

While the official Giving Tuesday campaign has concluded, the opportunity to contribute to JP's Market at Victoria College continues. Individuals and businesses can donate online at VictoriaCollegeFoundation.org/Give-Now.
