Victoria College’s Museum of the Coastal Bend will present three virtual “Archaeology Live” events this fall, beginning with a livecast from the museum’s Public Archaeology Lab on Tuesday, Sept. 14 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Another livecast from the Public Archaeology Lab will be presented on Nov. 9 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. On Nov. 12, a livecast of the Coastal Bend Archaeological Logistics Team from an excavation site will be presented from 10 to 11 a.m. Audience members can interact with the archaeology lab crew during the online presentation, as well as ask questions during a Q&A session.

“We are excited to provide the public the opportunity to witness our archaeologists in action,” said Sue Prudhomme, VC’s executive director of cultural affairs. “Our team will discuss the archaeological process and recent discoveries.”

The livestreams can be accessed by visiting MuseumOfTheCoastalBend.org.

The Museum of the Coastal Bend is located on Victoria College’s Main Campus at 2200 E. Red River Street. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission to the museum is pay-what-you-want.
