Victoria College honored 13 paramedic graduates with a ceremony on May 8.
Tanner Hawes of Victoria was named the class valedictorian, and Jacob Cummins of Victoria was named class salutatorian. Elizabeth Novak of Edna was given the Best Clinical Performance Award, Sarah Robinson of Victoria received the Best in Lab Award and Ranson Moore of New Braunfels was given the J. Alan Baker Award, which honors the former Victoria College EMS Program director who served as an army medic in the Vietnam War.
Other graduates were Mark Alvarez, Hannah Frank and Rebekah Thompson, all of Victoria; Dakoda Drabek of Cuero; Kyle Miller of Hallettsville; Nick Pazarentzos of San Antonio; Brandy Escobar of Port Lavaca and Armando Guerra of Houston.
The students completed the four semesters required for paramedic certification, including over 500 hours of clinicals.
