Crossroads Community Band to perform Spring Concert on May 2

The Crossroads Community Band will perform an outdoor concert on Sunday, May 2 at Victoria College’s Main Campus.

The Crossroads Community Band will perform its Spring 2021 Concert at 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 2 on the lawn adjacent to Victoria College’s Fine Arts Building.

The event is free and open to the public. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Among the selections to be performed are John Mackey’s “Strange Humors,” John Phillip Sousa’s “Hands Across the Sea,” Henry Mancini’s “The Pink Panther” and Mark Lortz’s “Moving at the Speed of Sound.” The performance will be conducted by Nick Stange.

The Crossroads Community Band, founded in 2009, is affiliated with Victoria College, and VC students may perform in the band for VC music ensemble credit.

Victoria College’s Fine Arts Building is located on VC’s Main Campus at 2200 E. Red River Street in Victoria.
