Victoria College Foundation awards grant to VC’s Sports Center

The Victoria College Foundation recently awarded employee grants for the Fall 2020 semester.

Among the grants awarded was one for $2,647.98 to VC’s Physical Education Department for the purchase of 18 mesh-back, tablet-arm, nesting chairs.

“These portable desks will make it possible to reconfigure workout space into a classroom because the desks have wheels and nest against the wall,” said Mary Mayes, Physical Education Department chair. “The addition of these desks will maximize the utility of the Sports Center to engage our students and keep all the PHED classes in the Sports Center instead of using classroom space in other buildings.”

The VC Foundation’s grant competition allows Victoria College departments to apply for funds to implement or enhance activities benefiting students and employees.
