Victoria College will host a three-session “On the Menu: Professionalism in the Workplace” series at VC’s Emerging Technology Complex and VC’s Gonzales Center on Feb. 11, March 11 and April 8.
Each session at VC’s Emerging Technology Complex will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and lunch will be provided. The sessions at VC’s Gonzales Center will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m., and breakfast will be provided.
"Professionalism is one of the most important aspects of any job,” said Jennifer Mann, VC Workforce and Education program specialist. “During this three-part series, participants will walk away with a better understanding of how to build their professional image, through their behavior, appearance, and body language. They will also learn the importance of both digital and verbal professionalism."
The series begins Thursday, Feb. 11 with “Building Your Professional Image.” Participants will learn how to develop personal professional images in the workplace. “Digital Professionalism” is the title of the next session on Thursday, March 8. The series concludes on Thursday, April 5 with “Verbal Professionalism.”
The cost for each session is $35, or $85 for all three. The registration deadline for the Feb. 11 session is noon on Feb. 8.
Due to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations, students will be required to wear a facial covering and have their temperatures taken before entering the classroom. Social distancing will also be required.
