Seven students from VC’s Vocational Nursing Program in Hallettsville honored at Pinning Ceremony

Seven students from Victoria College’s Vocational Nursing Program at the Zelda L. Allen School of Nursing in Hallettsville participated in a Pinning Ceremony on Dec. 18 at VC’s Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts in Victoria.

VICTORIA - Seven students from Victoria College’s Vocational Nursing Program at the Zelda L. Allen School of Nursing in Hallettsville were honored during a Pinning Ceremony on Dec. 18 at VC’s Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts.

The seven students honored were Brittany Grahmann, Lauren Migl and Hannah Smith, all of Hallettsville; Amy Brown of Smithville; Christian Brown of Sheridan; Shandra Hights of Victoria; and Tamia Oliver of Weimar.

A total of 45 students from four Victoria College locations were honored at the event.

Victoria College’s Vocational Nursing Program is a 12-month certificate program offered on VC’s Main Campus and in Cuero, Gonzales and Hallettsville. The program is fully approved by the Texas Board of Nursing.

Successful completion of the program enables students to take the National Licensure Exam for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN). Satisfactory achievement on the exam qualifies students for licensure as a vocational nurse.
