Registration underway at Victoria College’s Gonzales Center

Registration for the Fall 2020 semester is underway at Victoria College’s Gonzales Center.

Registration will continue through Aug. 20 at 5 p.m. Payment plans are available, and students can also apply for financial aid and scholarships.

“We welcome interested students to come by the center and visit with our onsite academic advisor or take a tour of our facilities,” said Vince Ortiz, manager of VC’s Gonzales Center. “Students can also connect with VC Gonzales Center virtually if preferred. Either way, we look forward to connecting with you and helping you reach your academic goals.”

VC’s Gonzales Center offers day, night and online classes. Students can obtain college credits that can be used toward Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees and transfer to four-year universities.

VC’s Gonzales Center also offers a Vocational Nursing Program and training in truck driving, welding, HVAC and electrical trades. Adult education, General Educational Development (GED) and English as Second Language (ESL) courses are also offered.

Victoria College has announced its plans to offer five instructional methods during the upcoming fall semester to provide students flexibility during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to traditional face-to-face, online and hybrid courses, Victoria College will offer real-time remote classes and an alternating method that will allow students to take classes face-to-face and remotely in real time.

The real-time remote courses will meet at a regularly scheduled time, but students will participate via WebEx video conferencing instead of attending class on campus. Students enrolled in alternating courses will meet in small groups on assigned days and will participate remotely via WebEx on alternating days.

Victoria College’s Gonzales Center is located at 424 E. Sarah DeWitt Drive in Gonzales. Due to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations, visitors to all Victoria College facilities will be required to wear a facial covering and have their temperatures taken before entering a facility. Social distancing is also required.
