Victoria College’s Workforce & Continuing Education Department is offering weekend Motorcycle Basic RiderCourse sessions on Aug. 3-4, Aug. 17-18 and Aug. 24-25 in Room 221 of the Industrial Training Center at VC’s Emerging Technology Complex.
The classes will meet on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost for the course is $250. Motorcycles and helmets are provided. Early registration is encouraged as classes fill quickly.
The Basic RiderCourse is designed for beginning and experienced motorcyclists. The course covers advanced physical and mental skills needed to ride safely as well as defensive street-riding strategies.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued an MSB-8 certificate which should satisfy the Texas Department of Public Safety’s written and driving exams for those 18 and over.
Victoria College’s Emerging Technology Complex is located at 7403 Lone Tree Road in Victoria.
