Victoria College's Museum of the Coastal Bend announces the Spring 2023 John W. Stormont Lecture Series. Lectures will take place at the museum, are free admission, and open to the public.

Lessons From Building a Pioneer Farm with Justin Butts will be held on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 5:30 p.m.

Justin Butts is a pioneer farmer, radio show host, food writer, and former Senior National Sales Executive with the The Coca-Cola Company.  A recognized leader in small-scale agriculture in the region and beyond, Justin built Four String Farm in Rockport, Texas, as a pioneer farm in one of the toughest places in America to grow food.  Working by himself, using methods practiced by pioneer farmers of 200 years ago, he carved a niche of domesticity from the coastal Texas wilderness and turned it into the largest and most successful small-scale farm business in the region. Justin and his wife Kayla, a licensed dietitian, a home chef, and Culinary Editor and writer for THE BEND Magazine, live off the land at their home in Rockport, TX.
