Victoria College’s Workforce & Continuing Education Department is offering a Computer Basics/Computers for the Workplace course and a Microsoft Excel Ninja course in the Conference & Education Center at VC’s Emerging Technology Complex.
Computer Basics/Computers for the Workplace will be held at 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Feb. 20 to March 8 in Room 307.
Students will learn computer literacy and receive hands-on instruction on how to operate Windows, the internet and email. The cost for the course is $150. All course materials will be included.
Microsoft Excel Ninja, which is the first workshop in Victoria College’s Brown Bag Lunch Series, will be held 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20 in Room 305. The 90-minute class will demonstrate tips, tricks and shortcuts that will increase productivity. The cost for the workshop is $25. A discounted rate of $60 is available for all three workshops in the series. Drinks and cookies will be provided, but participants furnish their own lunch.
The Brown Bag Series will continue on March 20 with Microsoft PowerPoint Ninja and conclude on April 17 with Microsoft Word Ninja.
