Victoria College’s Workforce and Continuing Education Department is offering two workshops in September to help equip jobseekers and employees pursuing career advancement opportunities.
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, Victoria College will offer a free “Skills to Pay the Bills” Workshop from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room 302 at VC’s Emerging Technology Complex. The workshop will focus on developing interview and resume-writing techniques. Professionalism in the workplace will also be discussed.
A Resume Writing Workshop will be held on Thursday, Sept. 7 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Room 307 at VC’s Emerging Technology Complex. The cost for the Resume Writing Workshop is $25. Each participant will have the opportunity to create or update a resume by the end of the workshop.
“Participants should bring their work history and a previous resume on a flash drive, if they have one, to the Resume Writing Workshop in order to complete a new resume during the class,” said Mary Pullin, program coordinator for VC’s Workforce and Continuing Education Department.
For more information or to register for either workshop, call (361) 582-2528 or email Mary.Pullin@VictoriaCollege.edu.
