The Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts will partner with Victoria Ballet Theatre to screen encore productions from the Royal Opera House of the Royal Ballet and the Royal Opera.
The six screenings, which will run through June 2018, will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22 with the Royal Opera’s performance of Mozart’s “The Magic Flute.” The series will continue at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11 with the Royal Ballet performing Christopher Wheeldon’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.”
Scheduled performances for 2018 are:
- Wheeldon’s “The Winter’s Tale” by the Royal Ballet at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 25
- “Bernstein Centenary” by the Royal Ballet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 14
- Giuseppe Verdi’s “Macbeth” by the Royal Opera at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 10
- Kenneth MacMillan’s “L’Histoire de Manon” by the Royal Ballet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 25
