Calendar: CAPE Workshops & Calendar
Please use the CAPE Workshop Request Form
to request future professional development.
Professional development is designed to advance an individual’s skills or expertise to enhance one’s career. CAPE offers a variety of professional development opportunities (i.e. workshops, tutorials, webinars, etc.). These opportunities develop knowledge and skills in a variety of areas such as accessibility, curriculum and instruction design, document and media design, and instructional technology. These opportunities are designed for both faculty and staff.
A series may be offered to provide extended development in a particular area. These workshops or tutorials are designed as several individual sessions that build upon one another. To get the most benefit from the series, it is best to complete the series.
Professional Development Interest Groups (PDIGs) are designed to allow a group of faculty or staff to explore a topic of common interest. This may be a book, a series of articles based around a common topic/theme, or anything that interests the group. Each group will have at least one facilitator. The group will meet at mutually agreed upon days and times once everyone who is interested has a chance to register. The groups will meet as often or as little as deemed necessary by the facilitator.
